For several years this unit has worked actively in several fields, according to two approaches: firstly, a local approach, involving developing research on the Nancy site and organising collective research seminars to present and evaluate results; secondly, looking to assert and consolidate national and international visibility in the major symposiums, with other French and foreign laboratories (CEVIPOF, PACTE CNRS Grenoble, Université de Montréal in Québec, etc.). The main fields of analysis in the Political Science Centre are relations between electoral campaigns and political behaviours (at local, national and international level), changes in trade union and partisan involvement (ANR-FRQSC – Internet and Politics), and evolution of collective action. The arrival at this centre of a professor specialised in the analysis of European public policies will enrich and complement these themes. This Centre also seek to cooperate with researchers in other centre on interdisciplinary themes: financing politics, parties and regionalist mobilisations.
